A Personlised
Partnership

Wollemi’s mission is to work with you as parents, in your role as the first and most important educators of your children, to develop men of character. We challenge our students to make a difference in society through their pursuit of personal and academic excellence, and a life of faith.

At Wollemi College, we prepare students to reach their potential and contribute meaningfully to society by promoting responsibility, scholarship, and respect for truth.

Committed Partner

Since 1999, Wollemi College has been part of the Pared Foundation (Pared), a network of Independent Catholic schools born from a simple yet profound conviction: that parents are the first and most important educators of their children.

Inspired by the vision of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, Pared pioneered a personalised approach to schooling in Australia, placing the family at the very heart of education.

Today, Wollemi continues this mission — preparing young men not just for success, but for lives of faith, leadership, and charity.

Character Education

At the heart of our mission is helping students grow daily into what we call the Wollemi Man: a person of integrity, courage, service, and faith.

Virtues: The foundation of our approach is encouraging students to live out virtue (good habits) such as sound judgement, self-control, responsibility, and courage, in the classroom, on the field, and at home.

Motto: Each week, students focus on a class motto to practise in daily life. These mottos help reinforce practical ways to grow in character and consider the needs of others.

Family Partnership: Families are invited to reinforce each week’s virtue at home, creating a consistent message between school and family life.

Whole-School Approach: From our teachers’ example to curriculum choices, character development is woven into the fabric of school life.

1:1
Mentoring

At Wollemi, every boy is paired with a dedicated mentor (member of staff) — a trusted guide who meets with him one-on-one every fortnight.

More than a check-in, it’s character education with a holistic focus and a lasting relationship built on encouragement, character growth, and personal leadership.

Your son will receive:

  • Personalised guidance tailored to his strengths and goals
  • A mentor who is part teacher, part coach, part friend
  • Support for growth in faith, virtue, and resilience
  • Ongoing encouragement to build real confidence

Testimonials

“‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ This rings true when talking about Wollemi College. We are grateful to be part of the Wollemi community, due to collaborative efforts between teachers, mentors and families. The mentoring system is fantastic and sets the foundations for strong character for our boys. Strongly recommend.”

S and L Tu'ipulotu

“This school is a hidden treasure. All staff members are dedicated to ensuring your son reaches his full potential both academically and spiritually. All staff will always go out of their way to chat to the parents about the child’s progress. I could not recommend this school highly enough.”

Hilda Akl

“We can not speak highly enough for all the highly dedicated and enthusiastic Wollemi staff, including our son’s teacher and mentor. The mentorship program was a huge drawcard in our decision to send our son to Wollemi, as he is able to build a relationship with, seek guidance, and work with his dedicated mentor on a range of personal development areas including his character, social, spiritual and academic development and always have a dedicated ‘go to’ person.”

Clare McGrath

“Wollemi College provides a mentoring system that helps both the students and parents become better through a solid focus on the Catholic faith and growth in virtues. The boys are treated as the men they are expected to become and are helped to grow in virtue. The school also makes available daily Holy Mass and Confession. We are grateful for a school such as Wollemi College and to the Pared Foundation for establishing these schools.”
